As part of my Undergraduate Degree in Applied Economics at Victoria University, I will be undertaking a one year exchange placement in three global cities, Hong Kong, Beijing & Kuala Lumpur. This blog was created to keep in touch with people and to keep a record of my journey and experiences. I will hopefully be updating it somewhat regularly.

Hong Kong Polytechnic University
For the month of July 2007, I undertook the ’summer’ programme on Chinese Language and Culture at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). This is a summer subject offered to people from all around the world as an introduction to both Mandarin Chinese(汉è¯) as well as Chinese History and Culture.
University of International Business and Economics (UIBE)
From September 2006 till December 2006, I studied at UIBE in Beijing China studing both Mandarin Chinese(汉è¯) and economics (Chinese Economic and Business Systems). As well as this, I participated in field trips including one to the new and very impressive Hyundai Factory located just outside of Beijing (现代厂).
Sunway University College
I will be studying at Sunway College from March until the end of June 2007. Here I am doing Economics and Marketing subjects offered through the Victoria University programme. These subjects are: Financial Institutions and Monetary Theory, International Economic Analysis and Product and Statistics for Business and Marketing. I am also preparing for my final semester Economic Research Project and applying for graduate jobs.
